Maunsel Lock Tea Rooms are owned and run by Nicky and her friendly team of staff. Nicky is the proprietor of The Old Bakery Cake company and is renowned for her exquisite and delicious cakes. Having worked in a range of catering establishments over the years and then running her own cake creation business, Nicky was able to fulfil a long held dream of owning her own Tea Rooms when she took over Maunsel Lock in early 2019.

The Tea Rooms
Maunsel Lock Tea Rooms are the perfect places to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the canal.
We have plenty of outside seating for sunny days, where you can enjoy the restful atmosphere and soak up the natural environment.
When it is less balmy, try our covered outside seating area, where we now have canvas side panels to make it even more cosy on windy days.
There is also our snug conservatory for those traditionally British days, when you just need to be indoors.
Whether you arrive by bike on foot or in the car you will receive a warm welcome.
Parking is available in the Mausel Lock Carpark opposite and there is disabled access via the parking area next to the tea rooms.
Dogs are welcome.
We serve a range of delicious cakes, snacks and light lunches as well as our scrumptious cream teas and afternoon teas.
We also make our own mouth- watering sundaes.
We offer a variety of drinks both hot and cold, including milkshakes.
Gluten free and vegan options are available.
